Rörstrand bowls from the Fjäll campaign!

Today my lovely, little Rörstrand bowls arrived. The campaign closed quite a while ago and I thought it was a really great one! To get one bowl you had to buy one package of fil and even the shipping was taken care of. Those little bowls are probably the most expensive dishes (considering the regular price) I now own. Sweet! Plus Fjäll has not only really well designed packaging but the blueberry fil is quite good too!

Free Sensai "The Silk" perfume sample

I passed by a Kicks store yesterday and picked up a perfume sample of Sensai's "The Silk". It's in fact a quite beautiful perfume, fruity and sweet but it still has some heaviness to it. It's still available in the Kicks stores, just go and ask the staff!

The 2nd item above is my new phone case! It comes from here and cost me 17kr! I am super happy with the purchase! It's made of this rubberized plastic which is lovely to touch. Nice!

Collect coins and win prices with Stena Line

Stena Line came out with a game app a few days ago (tip from here) which you can download and then use the coins you win in the game to exchange against real prices in one of their shops. As far as I am aware the app can be downloaded but the coins will be showing up only in a few days. Additionally there will be contests and maybe even a Christmas calendar in December.

The Chiquita mini-game contest

So, this Chiquita mini-game contest has been going on for a while. I am not sure how high the chances are to actually win a game there but today I found the games as a "gift with purchase" offer.

I am usually somewhat skeptical about those little travel games since I am not really wanting to have tons of those lying around. But I also quite like the game "Guess Who?" (Vem Där?), much more though in the version the lovely Natalie Tran suggests in one of her videos on her side channel:

This one is hilarious to play! At least if you play with someone you know well!

Giveaways from the end of last week

In the mailbox where some samples from Vichy. At Hemköp I found a practical müsli-box you receive when buying just one product from Axa (I could even use a coupon for that one) and I also picked up some free bread from Schär's giveaway a while ago. Looking forward to try their gluten free bread!

Edit: By now I actually tested the bread and I am positively surprised! It's pretty close to "normal" bread, lush and slightly sweet. Should I have guests who prefer gluten free, I will certainly come back to this one! Slightly negative is only that it comes with comparatively much trash since it is packaged in both a plastic cover as well as sitting in a little plastic tray. Otherwise: thumbs up!

In my mailbox today

Yay! Two free magazines in my mailbox! "Alt i hemmet" and "Bamse". This is actually the first Bamse magazine I get to read, so a pretty interesting discourse in Swedish-kids-magazine-culture!

It's been a while since I took part in a campaign by glade and I had already dismissed ever receiving the promised subscription, but here it is! This one overlapped for me with an offer I just received from the app tryme. It's kind of a "meh" app. There is some coffee sample but to get a mini-subscription one has to answer tons of questions over quite a period of time. I made a quick call to the costumer service to not receive duplicates and voila: now I will be receiving almost half a years worth of subscription. Not bad :-)

Dufvenkrooks free giveaway overloaded their website!

It seems that the good people of Dufvenkrooks didn't really expect such a huge amount of visitors on their page wanting to get a free bottle of glögg! During November (next on the 17th and 24th) they'll give out 50 coupons (value 30kr) for which you can get a free "Lättvinglögg". The giveaway today pretty much broke down their website and it took quite a while for them to get it fixed. I hope the email will arrive anyway despite all the web-mess!

You can try it again here next Thursday at 11am, hopefully they'll be prepared next time!

Ready for NaNoWriMo?

In just a few days it's time again for NaNoWriMo: National Novel Writing Month.

From November 1st until November 30th, 11:59 PM people all over the world are setting themselves the goal to write a novel with the length of 50 000 words! Yes! A whole novel in one month! The idea is to get going: to get all the ideas out which have accumulated over the last year (or years!) and to put them on paper (or in a digital file of course). Lots of cities have write-ins and meetups to write together and the website offers all kinds of free resources, prompts and a lively community for each others support.

Taking part is of course free and there are several offers from sponsors available around NaNoWriMo, here. I took part the last two years and it was great fun (and a massive coffee consumption!).

So, while your hubby/boyfriend/partner is growing his mustache to fund raise for men's health, why not add another fall project and get writing?

The not-so-hidden "hidden section" of L'Occitane's website

I can't tell how hidden this actually is. I didn't really think it was hard to find. But maybe it's interesting for someone. If you go to the  L'Occitane website here, you find a few offers you might have missed or which are (that's my guess) about to become available:

If you are a member and you buy items for 595kr or more you get a gift set (worth 175kr) including:

- Verbena Body Lotion 75 ml
- Almond Shower Oil 35 ml
- Shea Hand Cream  10 ml
- Shea Foot Cream 10 ml

The code for this is: GENERIC

As a member you can also call the store and reserve a time for a free skin analysis and mini-facial. Included in this is a 15% discount should you decide to buy anything.

If you are not a member you can sign up for it at their website or in any store. They'll send you an email after a few weeks and you will receive a little welcome gift (worth 255kr) if you buy something for 300kr or more.

Free coupon "shopping"

I went out to pick up some items I had gotten coupons for through facebook. This is going to be my first time trying "Messmör". Rumors say it's an acquired taste, so let's see how that goes! Great that I get the chance to test it for free!

Originally the coupon for Messmör was for "Messmör Lingon". I searched all over the place for the lingon version but it was nowhere to be found. Mysteriously no one seems to have heard of it either. Luckily the coupon worked for the normal version as well. Has anyone seen Messmör lingon?

"My Bloody Box" - Subscription box

After a lot of back and forth concerning my order and (non-payment), I received a free sample box through a Facebook promotion by "My Bloody Box".

The packaging was nicely done and the delivery to the door worked well, still I am not yet convinced by the subscription box. The website was (at least for me) troublesome and buggy. I got several error messages and the customer service had to delete and then re-install my account. After that not one but a few orders popped up once I ordered my free box.
The costumer service on the other hand was great, the contact quick, smooth and without problem. I guess the website issues will be (hopefully) fixed in the future.

Then there is also the (pretty insignificant) point of the name of the box. Not sure what images this is supposed to conjure up. I found myself talking rather like a pirate when the order on the "bloody website" didn't work as it should…

If you are interested in this kind of subscription it might be worth a try but beware it likely still might be a bit complicated to get the account/order/payment/subscription interval correctly registered.
